Whether you’re trying to build a greater following for the Access Global Facebook or want to try and get more followers on Instagram, it takes work to grow a social media page.

Having a large social media following can turn profitable if you reach a certain point, and who doesn’t want that? Here are 5 tips for growing your social media!

Consistency is Key

You want to always be consistent with your posting. A good rule to follow is to post on your social media at least 1 or 2 times a day. You always want to make sure that your content appears the same with each post.

You don’t want to post about finances one day and the next you move on to beauty tips and tricks. Consistency is key. It lets your audience be able to count on you!

Find Your Niche

Consider what your niche is and use that for your social media presence. You don’t want to be all over the place with your content, so find what works best for you and stick with that.

Try and be the person that people go to for certain information that only you can provide in your special way. Once you get started with your social media niche, it will also be a lot easier for you to create content catered to it!

Pay Attention to Your Competition

There’s no better way to learn the ins and outs of social media marketing than to pay attention to what your competition is doing. You can see what works for them and more importantly – what doesn’t. This will help you to avoid any mistakes learned by others.

It’s important to keep in mind not to copy the competition, however. The whole purpose of researching your competition is to learn and build more knowledge. You should take the information and see how it can work for you in the long run. Yet, if you copy someone else, you’re sure to lose a lot of your following. Nobody likes someone who isn’t authentic!

Know Your Audience

Who are you creating your content for? It’s paramount that you get a deep understanding of just the people who are visiting your content. This will help you to create your content in a way that appeals to them the most.

Your social media audience is your community. You aren’t creating posts for yourself, but you’re doing it for others. Naturally, knowing who these people are – their interests – will help you to provide them with content they’ll enjoy and look forward to.

Engage, Engage, Engage!

If you want to grow your social media, you need to be active within the community you are trying to build. Engaging with your audience is key to building a relationship with them and encouraging others to join in.

Try and set aside time each day to comment back to your followers. It’s also a great idea to include some posts in which your audience can participate – ask them questions, create polls, and invite feedback from them. The more they are talking, the better it is for you!
